I've always been fascinated by how water moved and how that could be manipulated, especially in urban design where stormwater can be incorporated as an amenity.
As an accomplished water resources engineer, landscape architect, and project manager, Amy Murdick now brings her history of guiding all phases of the planning and design process to leading Otak's stormwater efforts in the Rocky Mountain Region.
Initially starting out in landscape architecture, Amy was always fascinated by how water moved and how that movement could be manipulated. After going back to school for an engineering degree, she has since been working on just that while placing a special emphasis on projects involving urban design where stormwater is incorporated as a resource and amenity to the community. From helping the City of Detroit set up its green infrastructure program to work in India and Vietnam, Amy prides herself on being "professionally bilingual," in that she's able to be deeply technical in her work while also effectively communicating those elements in a way that's easily digestible.
